Legal Adviser (Public & Regulatory Law) Contract (Jan to Sept 2026)

£50,000–£65,000 per annum (contractor)
A leading regulatory legal team is seeking a Legal Adviser to support the development of complex price control frameworks linked to a major multi-billion-pound UK infrastructure programme.
This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer with solid public or regulatory law experience to step into a dynamic environment and work closely with senior lawyers, Counsel and policy colleagues on high-impact legal matters.
What you’ll do
* Provide legal support on the design and implementation of future price control mechanisms.
* Assist with preparing for potential statutory appeals, including CMA appeal processes.
* Advise on regulatory risks and ongoing obligations under current frameworks.
* Handle a variety of regulatory and public-law queries across the team.
What you bring
* Strong grounding in public or regulatory law.
* Experience with judicial review, appeals, or disputes.
* Ability to quickly get up to speed with complex material and deliver clear, timely advice.
* Interest in economic regulation, energy, infrastructure or large-scale policy work.
