About Cambridgeshire Constabulary
The Constabulary’s buildings and estate play a critical role in delivering policing across the County. About The Role

You will work closely with Chief Officers, including the Chief Constable and Chief Officer team, as well as the Police and Crime Commissioner, providing trusted advice and forward-looking recommendations on estates strategy. Representing the function at key Board meetings and governance forums, you will need the credibility, communication skills and influence to inspire confidence, secure support and turn strategic ambition into action.
Operational Delivery and Commercial Oversight This is a strategic role with real operational depth. Alongside setting direction, you will lead hands‑on delivery across procurement and commercial negotiations in partnership with our collaborated Commercial Services function. From new‑build developments and major capital works to sustainability initiatives, planned maintenance and the day‑to‑day performance of a diverse contractor base, you will drive high‑quality outcomes that are compliant, cost‑effective and aligned to service needs ensuring excellent value for money across every aspect of the estate.
Estate Transformation and Future Planning A central part of the role will be leading the development of a refreshed Estates and Facilities Management Strategy that looks far beyond the immediate horizon and positions the organisation for the future of policing. In a time of significant change, you will bring stakeholders with you, secure buy‑in for a long‑term vision, and translate that vision into a practical, deliverable programme that modernises the estate in a controlled and sustainable way.
Compliance and Risk Safety and compliance are fundamental to success in this role.
