Role
We are looking for a motivated Graduate Geotechnical Engineer to join their growing team in Newark. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate to develop technical skills, gain hands‑on experience and work on a diverse range of projects across infrastructure, commercial, and residential developments.
Responsibilities
* Assist with site investigations, including planning and supervising ground investigations
* Interpret geotechnical data and prepare factual and interpretive reports
* Support design work involving foundations, slopes, retaining structures, and ground improvement
* Liaise with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams
* Conduct site visits to monitor ground conditions and construction progress
* Ensure compliance with relevant standards and health & safety regulations
About
* Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology, or similar
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
* Good report writing and communication skills
* A proactive and enthusiastic approach to learning
* Full UK driving licence
Desirable
* Knowledge of geotechnical software (e.g. GeoStudio, PLAXIS, or similar)
* Understanding of UK ground investigation standards (BS5930, Eurocode 7)
* Previous internship or placement experience
