Job Description
The Grants Officer will primarily focus on reviewing and assessing grant applications from individuals seeking financial support. Their core responsibilities include processing applications within specified timelines, following up with applicants via email, phone, and the Lightning Reach portal for additional information and clarification. The officer will document these checks and inquiries clearly, adhering to TST’s policies and procedures fairly and transparently.
Additionally, they will support applicants by explaining our process and criteria, managing expectations about potential support, and signposting to other resources if applicants are ineligible. For eligible applicants, the Grants Officer will summarize key facts and prepare recommendations for the Chief Executive to meet weekly Grants Committee deadlines.
