Camphill Community Glencraig, founded in 1954 and situated in a beautiful 100-acre woodland setting outside Holywood, Co. Down, is recruiting for a Day Support Worker - Arts and Crafts.
This role involves working in the Crafts and Arts Studio, supporting adults with complex needs and challenging behaviour to pursue a valued lifestyle through meaningful activities, skill development, and promoting independence within a safe environment.
Essential Criteria:
* Minimum QCF level 2 in Health and Social Care or related discipline, or 1 year relevant care experience if lacking this qualification.
* GCSE English and Mathematics Grade C or above, or equivalent.
* Registration or willingness to register with the N. Ireland Social Care Council.
* At least six months experience in caring or educational support, or 1 year relevant experience.
Desirable Criteria:
* Qualification in Health & Social Care, Social Sciences, or higher.
* Experience working with individuals with disabilities and challenging behaviour.
* Skills and experience in Arts and Crafts.
Additional information:
* Salary: £12.60/hour, with increases based on service length.
* Hours: 40 hours/week, Mon-Fri 9am-5pm; additional hours may be available.
* Contract: Permanent.
* Benefits include group life assurance, paid holidays, parking, and pension.
Note: This role does not currently meet the UK Home Office Tier 2 visa criteria.
