Adecco is recruiting for a dedicated Tenancy Sustainment Officer to join a West London Local Authority. This is a rewarding frontline role supporting vulnerable residents to maintain safe, secure, and independent tenancies. You'll work flexibly-sometimes from home, the office, or out in the community-building strong relationships with residents and helping them overcome challenges that put their housing at risk. Tenancy Sustainment Officer Public Sector - Local Authority Temporary Role - to the 31st August 2026 Full Time - Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week PO2 - £22.79 per hour PAYE / £30.36 per hour Umbrella Hybrid Working - min. 3 days per week in office / on site, remainder at home Interviews to take place early January 2026 IT Equipment Provided Key Responsibilities In this role, you will: Provide proactive, casework‑based support to residents at risk of tenancy breakdown. Build trust with residents, understand their circumstances, and set achievable goals for sustaining their housing. Offer tailored interventions, including support with financial pressures, wellbeing challenges, tenancy‑related issues, and independent living. Work closely with internal teams and external partners to coordinate wraparound support. Maintain accurate case notes, assessments, and records to ensure effective service delivery. About You You bring substantial housing expertise, with a strong understanding of tenancy-related legislation, the responsibilities of a local authority landlord, and the challenges faced by diverse and complex client groups. You have proven experience working within multi‑disciplinary environments to deliver holistic, effective support. You are an exceptional communicator, able to engage confidently with a wide range of residents, partners, and stakeholders. You influence, negotiate, and persuade with ease, while working proactively, flexibly, and independently. You excel at problem‑solving and are a confident decision‑maker, capable of developing and implementing bespoke solutions to complex tenancy issues. You demonstrate integrity, accountability, and resilience in everything you do. You manage pressure effectively and maintain high levels of motivation, professionalism, and enthusiasm-always focused on achieving positive, sustainable outcomes for residents.
