Role Overview
As Store Manager for the POT HOUSE LANE location, you report to the Retail Operations Manager and drive growth within the company‑owned store. You will engage colleagues and customers, collaborate closely with the Area Manager, and foster a positive, empowering work environment that reflects the company’s values.
Key Responsibilities
* Recruit, train and develop a high‑performing team dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service.
* Lead, motivate and celebrate colleague successes while building a strong team culture.
* Ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations, including inventory management, merchandising and stock control.
* Implement visual merchandising standards to enhance the shopping experience.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and preferences.
* Set and achieve sales targets, driving initiatives to increase revenue and profitability.
* Analyse sales reports and trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
* Actively participate in local community events and initiatives, seeking partnerships to strengthen community ties.
* Manage budgets, expenses and financial reporting to keep the store operating within parameters.
Required Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in retail management with a track record of achieving sales targets.
* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, capable of motivating a diverse team.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with customers and the local community.
* Knowledge of retail operations, including inventory management and merchandising.
* Analytical ability to make data‑driven decisions that drive business performance.
* Passion for community engagement and a commitment to making a positive impact in POT HOUSE LANE.

Requirements
* UK driving licence (preferred).
* Willingness to undergo Post Office financial vetting.
Contract & Compensation
* Permanent, full‑time role.
* 40 hours per week, 5 out of 7.
