The Role – Health & Safety Advisor As Health & Safety Advisor, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and compliance of teams across multiple civil and utilities projects. You’ll work closely with project management and site teams to drive continuous improvement in health, safety, and environmental performance helping to maintain the company’s excellent reputation for safety leadership. Key Responsibilities: Deliver toolbox talks, site inductions, and H&S training to staff and subcontractors. Conduct regular site inspections and audits, ensuring full compliance with company and legal standards. Support the implementation of Health, Safety & Environmental Management Systems. Assist in developing risk assessments, safe systems of work, and method statements. Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, reporting findings to management. Monitor Health & Safety KPIs, ensuring performance improvements are achieved. Work with project managers to ensure effective communication of safety requirements. Promote a proactive safety culture through engagement and on-site visibility. Contribute to sustainability and environmental initiatives across the business. About You Third-level qualification in Health & Safety or equivalent. 3 years’ experience in a Health & Safety role within civils, utilities, or construction. Knowledge of HSEQ regulations, risk management, and safety auditing. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Confident, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and as part of a wider team. Full, clean driving licence essential. Strong organisational and time-management abilities, with a focus on practical safety solutions.
