You will sit at the intersection of operations, finance, and strategy—owning the engine that powers the business’s growth and profitability. Working closely with the founders and the senior leadership team, you’ll lead initiatives to enhance efficiency, improve margins, and support international expansion. Your work will directly impact the business’s ability to scale sustainably while maintaining its core brand values.
Key responsibilities
* Take full ownership of financial reporting, providing clear insights into performance and driving strategic decisions.
* Monitor cash flow, manage risk, and support budgeting and forecasting processes.
* Oversee global logistics relationships, ensuring performance standards and cost efficiencies across UK, US, and EU markets.
* Lead improvements in returns management, order fulfillment, warehousing, and packaging operations.
* Collaborate with buying and merchandising teams to translate sales forecasts into smart stock decisions, balancing margins and stock cover.
* Drive high-impact projects to reduce costs, improve contribution margins, and optimise cross-border logistics including tariffs and duties.
* Support the scaling process, ensuring growth is profitable and operationally sustainable.
* Oversee the customer service function, working closely to enhance customer experience and resolve recurring issues.
Who are you?
* Highly numerate with a strong understanding of margins, contribution, and unit economics within eCommerce.
* Experienced in fast-growth DTC businesses, logistics, and finance management.
* Knowledgeable about working with 3PL partners and logistics performance optimisation.
* An excellent communicator who can rally teams and liaise with external stakeholders.
* Proficient with Excel or Google Sheets, with a keen eye for detail.
* A proactive, positive team player with a “can-do” attitude.
