GSL Education are seeking a reliable Cover Supervisor to support secondary schools across Hull. As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring students remain on task and engaged with pre-set work. Cover Supervisor Responsibilities: Supervise classes and deliver pre-prepared lessons in the absence of the class teacher. Maintain a calm, focused, and positive learning environment. Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies. Support students with their work and encourage participation. Report back to teaching staff on lesson outcomes and behaviour. Requirements: Previous experience working with young people or in a school setting is desirable. CACHE Level 2/3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance is preferred but not mandatory. Strong communication and classroom management skills. Confident leading groups of students and following lesson plans. Flexible, reliable, and proactive approach to work. A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply through GSL.
