Department: Human Resources
Qualifications
* Undergraduate degree or diploma with a major in Human Resources
* Two to three years of relevant work experience
* Experience in recruitment and selection required
* Experience in public speaking or giving presentations required
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office required
* Understanding of immigration issues and programs would be an asset
* CHRP considered an asset
* Driver's license & reliable vehicle
Responsibilities And Tasks
* Provide responsive, efficient, customer-focused service to candidates and managers
* Facilitate hiring process for internal and external attraction, including screening resumes and conducting interviews
* Ensure processes are in line with legislation and best practices
* Handle attraction and onboarding of new employees, developing the Northwood brand and activities
* Develop and maintain external partnerships and networks
* Build relationships with stakeholders such as payroll, recruitment system providers, and organizational health
* Coordinate attraction and selection processes with hiring managers to identify talent
* Work with the team to develop recruitment plans that meet workforce needs
* Manage reference checks, criminal record searches, health clearances, and other employment checks
* Represent Northwood at job fairs and recruitment initiatives
* Manage large volume recruitment campaigns and provide guidance on attraction strategies
* Complete onboarding of new hires
* Advise managers and staff on employment checks and verification procedures
* Coach managers and staff on best practices in recruitment and selection
* Support system navigation and provide system training for new users
* Research and implement innovative talent attraction methods
* Develop recruitment strategies including internal promotions and redeployment
* Maintain communication links with internal and external clients
* Perform other duties as required
Hours: 80 Hours Biweekly
