About the Role

As part of our growth, we are offering talented NEC Project Managers the opportunity to shape outcomes on some of the UK and Ireland’s most high‑profile highways and rail projects.
Responsibilities
- Act as the client’s key representative, ensuring projects run with clarity, collaboration and momentum.
- Guide communication between all parties, keeping decision‑making proactive and ensuring every stage—from early scope development to construction delivery and final closeout—follows NEC principles.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams, including Supervisors, planners and cost controllers, to interpret contractual requirements and stay aligned on programme, scope and budget.
- Shape scope and contract documentation with design teams, laying foundations for success before construction begins.
- Manage decisions and judgement that directly influence project outcomes, issuing key instructions, managing early warnings, implementing compensation events and responding to deadlines.
- Apply programming knowledge (float, logic links, concurrency, key dates) to make well‑reasoned, timely decisions that keep delivery efficient and transparent.
- Support colleagues and advise other teams to strengthen internal capability, build consistency and confidence, and elevate NEC best practice across the business.
Qualifications
- Accredited NEC Project Manager (NECReg).
- Degree in engineering, construction or another built environment subject.
- Proven, hands‑on project management experience on live construction sites.
- Experience managing contractors, consultants and other advisors throughout large (at least £20 million construction value or equivalent) and complex construction projects in a regulated environment.
- Ability to manage change and uncertainty while maintaining positive relationships with clients, contractors and internal teams.
