We're looking for someone to join the IT Service Delivery Team, acting as a technical escalation point, responsible for providing, assessing, maintaining & repairing hardware and providing advice and recommendations to end users.

After a probationary period it will become a hybrid role of 3 days a week in the office. About You Desirable Skills and Experience
1. Experience of working a team in a Service Delivery environment, using relevant support tools with a strong customer focus
2. The ability to think logically, meet deadlines and effectively prioritise workload according to the needs of the customers and SLA’s
3. Excellent listening and questioning skills, combined with the ability to interact confidently with stakeholders and employees to establish what the problem is and explain the solution to a non-technical audience
4. Providing advice & recommendations for hardware solutions based on scientific requirements of the customer
5. Knowledge of ITIL and the Service Desk Institute
6. A professional IT qualification (desirable) ITIL Foundation, Microsoft MCP
Technical Skills:
7. End user application support experience including:
8. Microsoft products eg Office365 and earlier versions,
9. Active Directory
10. Configuring and troubleshooting IP telephony
11. Endpoint Management & OS Deployment Technologies ( SCCM)
12. Various Linux OS (including Centos, Ubuntu & Rocky)
13. Various Windows OS (including Win 10)
Wide ranging experience of hardware support including:
14. Multi-vendor desktop workstations & laptops
15. Generic printers
16. Raspberry Pi, IoT Devices & Networked Lab Equipment
