Overview
People, Strategy and Innovation Manager role at London Borough of Merton. This position provides strategic HR leadership to the organisation, driving the people agenda and ensuring the effective delivery of HR services that support the Council's vision, values and priorities.
Responsibilities
* Lead a team of HR professionals to deliver impactful business partnering, policy development, employee relations and data‑driven people insights.
* Drive continuous improvement and contribute to the development of the Council's People strategy.
* Collaborate with senior stakeholders and operate in a political/public sector environment.
* Apply comprehensive knowledge of UK employment law and expert knowledge of employee relations processes, including collective bargaining and dispute resolution.
Qualifications and Experience
* Significant experience in a senior HR role with a proven track record of leading and managing HR teams.
* Experience delivering HR strategies that achieve organisational outcomes.
* Experience working with high‑level stakeholders in a political or public sector environment.
* Substantial knowledge of the UK employment framework and employee relations processes.
