Job Description
As a Controls Systems Apprentice at AVL, you will embark on an exciting journey to develop your engineering skills within a supportive and dynamic environment. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on experience while pursuing formal training through a Level 6 Controls Systems apprenticeship.
Responsibilities
* Support powertrain control development, including requirements definition and development
* Support automotive network definition, integration and commissioning
* Support the software verification and validation in various test environments
* Create and maintain project documentation throughout the life cycle of the project
* Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, team members, sales representatives and suppliers
* Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and quality standards
Essential Qualifications
* A‑level in Mathematics (grade B or above)
* A‑level in a subject at grade C or above in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering or Design & Technology
* A‑level in English (grade C or above)
* Strong organizational and time‑management skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Proactive and problem‑solving mindset
* Eligibility to enroll in a Level 6 apprenticeship program
Preferable Qualifications
* Relevant work experience: previous internships or work experience in a technology‑related role
* General automotive knowledge or electric powertrain components
