Bradford District Care Trust (BDCFT) is an award‑winning Trust dedicated to providing high‑quality, community‑based mental and community health services. We are seeking a Support Worker to join our City Community Mental Health team.
Responsibilities
* Support and encourage individuals working towards recovery from severe and complex mental health issues within a multidisciplinary community team.
* Assist qualified Health and Social Care staff under direct and indirect supervision with assessment, provision and evaluation of care and treatment for patients who are difficult to engage.
* Drive patients to appointments and other required destinations; must hold a valid car driving licence.
* Provide practical advice, support and guidance to clients, carers and families as part of an agreed care plan.
* Participate in mandatory and relevant training to develop skills and knowledge for the post.
Qualifications and requirements
* Valid driving licence and the ability to drive for work purposes.
* Willingness to undertake mandatory training and any additional training relevant to the role.
* Good communication skills and empathy towards clients and team members.
* Legal right to work in the UK. Applicants must confirm employment eligibility and notify the Trust of any changes in immigration status.
* This role is not eligible for sponsorship under the Home Office skilled worker visa eligibility list.
