We are looking for an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our Dysphagia and Early Years Complex Communication Team.

Main duties of the job
Speech and Language Therapists are core to the efficient service delivery that we provide to children, young people and their families.
As a Speech and Language Therapist in our service, you will deliver care to children, young people and their families in the community, schools and in the clinic setting.
You will be working within our well-established, supportive and dynamic Early Years Complex Communication and Dysphagia Team. You will provide assessments and interventions for children with complex communication needs, including implementing AAC.
You will work in the dysphagia team working with children from the early years up to 19 years who are in special schools.
You will also work in the joint assessment clinic with the multidisciplinary team, working with Paediatricians, Occupational Therapists and physiotherapists.
Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities
The post holder will be responsible for managing their own workload, prioritising tasks effectively, and ensuring deadlines are met. They will be expected to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to high standards. The role may involve working across multiple sites and requires excellent communication and organisational skills.
Probationary Period
This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
High Cost Area Supplement Outer London
This post also attracts payment for a High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,870 to a maximum of £6,137 per year pro rata for part time).
