First Contact Physiotherapist Team Lead – Bristol
Location: Bristol Hours: Full-Time
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated First Contact Physiotherapist (FCP) Team Lead to join our growing service in Bristol. This leadership role combines clinical expertise with team management, service development, and stakeholder engagement. You will oversee a team of FCPs and Development FCPs across Primary Care Networks (PCNs), ensuring high standards of care, professional growth, and seamless integration within local pathways.
Key Responsibilities
* Line management of FCPs and development FCPs
* Conduct appraisals, manage training plans, and support staff progression through the Roadmap to Practice
* Provide clinical supervision and mentorship both remotely and in-clinic
* Collaborate with Clinical Leads to ensure services are safe, effective, and responsive
* Support internal and external training initiatives
* Contribute to audits and quality improvement projects
* Maintain a significant clinical caseload as an FCP
* Build and maintain relationships with PCNs and NHS partners
* Represent the FCP service in PCN meetings, sharing data insights and supporting training
* Ensure services are embedded within local pathways and aligned with national guidelines
* Address concerns raised within PCNs in collaboration with Clinical Leads
* Deliver face-to-face FCP clinics within PCNs
What We’re Looking For
* HCPC-registered Physiotherapist with FCP experience
* Proven leadership and team management skills
* Strong understanding of primary care pathways and service integration
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
* Commitment to clinical development and service improvement
* The successful candidate must reside in, or be within a commutable distance from, Bristol for team supervision and PCN support
* Road map stage 1 and 2 must be completed
