Job Introduction
Igne is seeking a Project Manager to join the Ground Investigation (GI) Division in Hamilton. This is a full-time, permanent position that will require travel.
The Project Manager is responsible for the full lifecycle management of multiple ground investigation projects, from inception to completion, making this an excellent opportunity to play a key role in delivering high impact work within a dynamic and growing team.

A one-stop-shop for pre- and post-construction services. Igne's six service categories are: ground investigation, testing, unexploded ordnance, specialist drilling, geothermal, and geo-environmental.

Key Responsibilities
* Oversee multiple geotechnical and geo-environmental site investigation projects from initial planning to close-out.
* Develop and maintain project programmes, monitoring progress and implementing corrective actions when required.
* Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with company procedures and industry standards.
* Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and expectations management.
* Work closely with engineers, drillers, subcontractors, and commercial teams to ensure smooth project execution.
* Monitor project costs, track variations, and manage financial forecasting.
* Oversee project close-out, including final reporting, client feedback, and lessons learned for future improvements.
Person Specification
* Proven experience managing projects within the geotechnical, civil engineering, or environmental sectors.
* Strong knowledge of ground investigation techniques, drilling methods, and laboratory testing.
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, working under pressure to meet deadlines.
* Experience preparing and maintaining QHSE documentation, risk assessments, and method statements.
* Commercial awareness, with experience in budgeting, cost tracking, and financial reporting.
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites.
Qualifications:
* A degree in Engineering, Geology, Geotechnical Engineering or a closely related discipline is essential.
