Role: IT Auditor I at NBT Bank. The position involves IT audit assignments under the supervision of the Senior Auditor and/or Audit Manager, with opportunities to work independently under low to moderate direction in line with the department's audit methodology and workpaper standards.
Pay Range: $60,450.00 - $76,619.00
Responsibilities
* Complete varying complexity IT audit assignments in accordance with the department's audit methodology and workpaper standards. This includes evaluating internal controls and/or laws and regulations, determining and executing applicable test work, and communicating audit findings clearly.
* Active participation in audit planning, including determining applicable scope areas and related risks.
* Active participation in the audit completion stage, including preparation of draft reports and participation in exit/closing meetings.
* Manage the timely completion of multiple assignments to ensure audits are completed by established due dates, keeping the Senior Auditor and/or Audit Manager informed of status, findings, challenges, obstacles, and questions.
* Perform other duties as assigned, including taking on more responsibility on routine audits and assisting with special projects.
Education and Experience
* One year of Information Technology, Information Security, Cybersecurity, IT Audit, or equivalent experience preferred.
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent education and experience required.
Skills and Abilities
* Aptitude to understand, interpret, and evaluate highly technical subject matter.
* Basic knowledge of IT infrastructure and IT security controls.
* Clear and concise communication with Audit and Department Management.
* Strong analytical and organizational skills.
* Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Ability to train less experienced auditors.
* Familiarity with IT Controls, IT Infrastructure, and IT Risk Management Frameworks (e.g., COBIT, CIS, NIST) preferred.
Tasks Performed
* 75%: Complete IT audit assignments of varying complexity following the department’s methodology and standards; evaluate internal controls and applicable regulations; determine and execute test work; communicate audit findings clearly; 20%: Develop and maintain third-party risk policies and procedures; ensure business lines are accountable; stay current on third-party risk management practices, regulations, and emerging risks.
* 10%: Actively participate in audit planning for scope areas and risk assignment.
* 5%: Participate in audit completion, including drafting reports and exit meetings.
* 5%: Manage timely completion of multiple assignments and keep leadership updated on status, findings, challenges, and questions.
* 5%: Perform other duties as assigned, including handling more routine audits and assisting in special projects.
Physical Requirements
