What you will do:
* Accept and take responsibility for referrals in respect of the Early Intervention team.
* Manage your own caseload effectively.
* Assess candidates for suitability for reablement programmes and create appropriate programmes.
* Recommend and assess equipment, adaptations, and Assistive Technology solutions.
* Maintain thorough and comprehensive documentation, in line with legal and service standards.
* Participate in peer clinical supervision groups for unqualified staff under leadership guidance.
* Provide comprehensive assessment, treatment, and management for individuals of all ages with various developmental needs.
* Stay informed on legislation and policies affecting Occupational Therapy practices.
* Respond to complex cases with specialist intervention plans aimed at reducing disabilities and enhancing independence.
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure cohesive and integrated equipment provision.
* Liaise with social workers, families, and other professionals to facilitate holistic treatment approaches.
* Conduct home assessments for adaptations, fostering solutions that help patients reach their fullest potential.
* Attend relevant conferences and meetings to discuss case progress and plans.
* Offer expert advice to service members for effective patient management.
* Ensure careful, regulatory-compliant handling of data and documentation.
Requirements of the Occupational Therapist:
* Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy.
* Recent UK experience in occupational therapy, with prior NHS exposure.
* Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
