Working on behalf of our client based on a site in Wrexham. We are seeking an experienced Project Planner to support the planning, coordination, and delivery of complex industrial and machinery installation projects. In this role, you will develop detailed project schedules, monitor progress, and work closely with engineering, procurement, and site teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within scope.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, maintain, and optimise project schedules using MS Project
* Plan and track activities across engineering, fabrication, logistics, and site installation phases
* Analyse critical paths, risks, and opportunities to support decision-making
* Produce progress reports, dashboards, and forecasting updates for internal and client teams
* Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure schedule accuracy
* Support resource planning, sequencing of work, and installation methodologies
* Assist in change management and evaluate schedule impacts
* Participate in project meetings and provide clear, data-driven planning insights
What we are looking for in the successful candidate:
* Proven experience as a Project Planner in industrial, mechanical, or machinery installation projects
* Strong proficiency in MS Project (scheduling, baselines, resource loading, reporting)
* Understanding of industrial installation workflows, commissioning processes, and site operations
* Ability to analyse schedule data and communicate findings effectively
* Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
* Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach
* Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
* Background in engineering, construction, or industrial project environments
* Experience with large-scale installations, plant upgrades, or heavy machinery projects
* Knowledge of additional planning tools or methodologies (e.g., Primavera, risk analysis)
