As a Mobile Plant Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining mobile plant equipment across various sites. You'll enjoy the independence of working in the field, supported by a strong office and workshop team.
Duties and Responsibilities
 * Perform preventive maintenance and breakdown repairs on a range of plant equipment (excavators, plant trailers, telehandlers, etc.).
 * Fault diagnosis using diagnostic tools and manuals.
 * Conduct safety inspections and complete service reports.
 * Liaise with clients and site supervisors to ensure minimal downtime.
 * Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work vehicle.
Requirements
 * Trade Qualification Mobile Plant Mechanic or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic (Cert III or equivalent).
 * Proven experience working with mobile plant equipment.
 * Current Drivers License (HR/MR license desirable).
 * High attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
 * Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
 * Construction White Card.
 * Familiarity with hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
