As a Trainee Estimator at Clark Door, you'll support the Estimating Team in preparing accurate and timely quotations for our specialist door systems. Reporting to the Estimating Manager, you'll assist in reviewing specifications, gathering pricing information, and helping produce quotes for both UK and international projects.
This is a hands-on, developmental role designed to give you experience in technical estimating, commercial thinking, and internal coordination. You'll build valuable knowledge of construction and manufacturing processes while playing a key part in supporting project bids from enquiry to order.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Preparing estimates within requested time scales.
· Answering sales department incoming calls, as required.
· Checking specifications, preparing quotations and revising them as necessary.
· Raising front sheets/contract folders for new orders.
· Providing target information for new orders/contracts.
· Raising order acknowledgments.
· Obtaining costs from Clark Door suppliers including freight forwarding companies for export quotes in order to prepare accurate quotations.
· Liaising with colleagues as necessary to prepare quotations.
· Liaising with Sales Engineers to pass on enquiries in a timely manner.
· Developing the personal skills which will contribute to effective team-working within Clark Door and promoting quality and excellence in all dealings with customers.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Education and qualifications
* Computer literate in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook)
* GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English (desirable)
Experience, knowledge and understanding
* Experience in a customer-focused or office-based role (desirable)
* Exposure to technical drawings or manufacturing environments (desirable)

* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Clear and confident communication, both written and verbal
