As a Lead Cloud Platform Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Chief Data and Analytics Office, you'll be a key player in our agile team. Job responsibilities
1. Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors
2. Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
3. Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
4. Lead the design and development of the cloud infrastructure offerings and platform tools, ensuring that they are secure, scalable, and reliable, serve as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus, and provide technical leadership and guidance to the cloud engineering team.
5. Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies
6. Adds to the team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
7. Collaborate with development teams to enable the delivery of high-quality, secure, and scalable applications on the cloud
8. Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements for the cloud
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
9. Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
10. Hands-on experience with one or more cloud computing platform providers AWS/Azure/GCP
11. Advanced knowledge of Containerization and Container Runtime/Orchestration platforms (Docker/Kubernetes/ECS etc)
12. Hands-on experience with Cloud Infrastructure Provisioning Tools like Terraform, Pulumi, Crossplane & Cloud Formation etc
13. Proficiency with programming languages like Golang, Python, Java, JS/TS etc and understand software development best practices
14. Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
15. Experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
16. Experience implementing multi-cloud architectures
17. Certifications in target areas (Cloud/Kubernetes/IaC etc)
