Join our friendly team in a busy dispensary, helping to deliver an efficient dispensing service. Previous experience with pharmacy dispensing systems and an NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services are essential. You'll need excellent attention to detail, strong customer care skills, and a passion for patient contact.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate must be proficient in the use of a computer, have proven organisational skills, and demonstrate an attention to detail in their work. Excellent communication skills are essential as you will be working as part of the multi‑disciplinary team.
You will play a key role in preparing medicines for our patients, carry out general housekeeping, filing and receptionist duties, and undertake daily stock checks.
Hours of work are Monday to Friday 9am to 5:30pm with a 60‑minute lunch. You will also participate in the late rota, weekend and Bank Holiday rotas.
Qualifications and Experience
* NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services (or equivalent)
* Knowledge of stock rotation & expiry dates
* Monitoring of fridges & ambient temperatures and taking appropriate action
* Experience of hospital pharmacy distribution / dispensing systems
* Previous hospital experience (desirable)
Skills
* Ability to work under pressure
* Ability to organise own and others workload
* Good customer care skills
* Experience with CMM (previously JAC) Pharmacy Computer System
