Teaching Personnel is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support several of our specialist education settings in the Nuneaton (CV10) area.
About the Role
We are looking for a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to provide tailored support to pupils with a variety of additional needs, including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism (ASD), and Processing or Learning Difficulties (LD). You will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to ensure pupils can access learning, grow in confidence, and develop key skills. This role is vital in helping to foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing environment where every child feels supported, valued, and empowered to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide personalised one‑to‑one and small‑group support tailored to individual pupil needs.
* Adapt resources, activities, and learning materials so they are engaging, accessible, and appropriately differentiated.
* Implement strategies from EHCPs and individual support plans to support pupil progress.
* Assist pupils with communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, and behaviour using positive, proactive methods.
* Use a range of specialist tools such as visual aids, sensory resources, and alternative communication systems.
* Observe and record pupil progress, sharing key information with teachers and the SENCO to inform planning.
* Help maintain a calm, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that promotes wellbeing and learning.
* Support pupils during transitions, break times, and off‑site activities to ensure consistency and safety.
* Encourage independence, resilience, and confidence, celebrating achievements and helping pupils develop strong self‑esteem.

Requirements
* Willing to complete a DBS check or able to provide an updated certificate
* Able to supply two references
