Position Summary An exciting opportunity has come available as a Warehouse Manager at Purdicom. A small team of 4 operatives, Purdicom has a flexible warehouse workforce, able to support all aspects of the warehouse function, the role comprises of assisting in the supervision and carrying out of the warehouse duties, team and area development, encompassing general site maintenance at both warehouse and offices. Principal Duties: Ensuring smooth day to day operation of the warehouse Ensuring that the Warehouse Operatives are completing all aspects of their role, both accurately and timely. To carry out any reasonable tasks as and when requested by management Checking/booking in stock Managing warehouse stock replenishment Picking, packing and booking stock out Managing stock and working with the finance team for stock takes To support the with Purdicom ISO Accreditation, Health and Safety and Risk Assessments where appropriate To ensure all paperwork is completed fully, filed or archived in the appropriate manner To assist all departments in any queries / requests made to the warehouse When requested to, liaise with couriers to ensure all items are tracked, shipped or collected promptly Knowledge & Skill Requirements Previous experience managing in the warehouse environment essential. Ability to listen and articulate effectively. Previous experience of managing individuals / small teams to achieve the warehouse goals. Learn and amass knowledge and detailed understanding of Warehouse Procedures. Already have or able to gain knowledge and experience of driving a forklift truck. Needs to be content to work in a semi-rural environment. To converse with all people throughout the organisation within all levels. To travel when and where necessary if required. A basic understanding of ISO9001, Health & Safety requirements. Leadership and Responsibility Must be able to lead and work as part of a team, also, at times, work individually to ensure the warehouse roles are completed in the timescales given. It is expected that the successful candidate will be expected to answer intruder/fire alarm call-outs where necessary.
