Children’s Home Manager

REED is currently recruiting for a passionate and experienced Children’s Home Manager to lead a residential service supporting children and young people with complex emotional, behavioural, and social needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed leader to make a meaningful impact and drive excellence in care delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide strategic and operational leadership in line with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015, the nine quality standards, and Ofsted requirements.
* Ensure the home operates in accordance with its Statement of Purpose and the organisation’s core values.
* Maintain and enhance high standards of care, safeguarding, and service delivery.
* Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children and young people.
* Oversee the home’s administration, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and other statutory obligations.
* Lead and develop a skilled, motivated staff team, fostering a culture of professionalism and accountability.
* Manage recruitment in line with Safer Recruitment practices and ensure robust induction and training.
* Monitor staff performance through supervision, training, and ongoing development.
* Promote inclusive, child-centred care planning through effective multi-agency collaboration.
About You
* Proven experience managing a children’s residential home and leading multidisciplinary teams.
* Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including Children’s Homes Regulations, Ofsted standards, and safeguarding protocols.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
* Flexible and resilient, with the ability to participate in on-call duties.
