*The opportunity for you
We are looking for a highly organised and proactive
Data Steward Manager*
to lead and support our team of Data Stewards based in Liverpool. This team plays a central role in maintaining the quality, consistency, and reliability of client and matter data across the firm - underpinning vital processes in compliance, billing, reporting, and business development.

In this leadership role, you'll work closely with stakeholders across the business, ensuring our data remains accurate, well‑governed, and aligned to firmwide standards while supporting key change and transformation activity, including data alignment work associated with our merger.

*Key responsibilities*

* Lead, supervise, and develop a team of Data Stewards, ensuring effective workload management and service delivery.
* Oversee data quality activity across multiple systems, identifying issues and working with stakeholders to resolve them.
* Review and improve processes to ensure best practice in data management.
* Maintain consistent data housekeeping across firm databases to support efficient operations.
* Support the Head of Architecture & Data in shaping team standards, training, and continuous improvement.
* Contribute to merger‑related data consolidation and alignment activity.

Knowledge, Skills And Experience

* Experience in data governance, data management, information governance, or a similar role.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work across technical and non‑technical teams.
* Skilled in supervising, supporting, and training team members.
* Excellent attention to detail and the ability to synthesise information from multiple sources.
* Familiarity with data quality standards, regulatory requirements (including GDPR), and data governance frameworks.
* Experience working in a legal or professional services environment is advantageous.
* Confident managing your own workload while supporting team priorities.
