Mechanical & Design Engineering Lecturer
We are looking for an enthusiastic, suitably qualified individual to teach on a range of full‑time, part‑time and higher education programmes in BTEC Advanced Manufacturing Engineering and T Level Engineering, with specialisations in mechanical / CAD / CAM at level 5.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Deliver lively and interactive teaching, learning and assessment to an outstanding standard across the relevant programmes.
* Secure outstanding success for all learners and meet targets for recruitment, retention, achievement, attendance and progression.
* Prepare, mark, monitor student progress, prepare reports, set and mark examination papers, and develop flexible learning materials.
* Act as a personal or course tutor to a group of students and undertake associated pastoral duties.
Required Skills and Experience
* Level 3 qualification in a relevant discipline (Mechanical Engineering).
* Relevant degree in Engineering and equivalent higher technical expertise in Mechanical & Design Engineering.
* Has or is willing to study for a relevant teaching qualification (DTLLS, PGCE or equivalent).
* Industry experience with current knowledge and the ability to deliver to industry standard.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a varied workload.
