About The Role
EKFB has been appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood. This freelance Site Agent role is based in Buckinghamshire.
As a Site Agent you will assist with the construction strategy, including kick‑off meetings, pre‑commencement documentation such as Method Statements, Environmental and Quality Plans, construction programmes, procurement and design deliverable schedules.
In addition, you will liaise with the Agent and Section Foreman to allocate labour, plant, materials and temporary works, manage the site engineering team and be responsible for the performance and development of site and Section Engineers.
You will also coordinate construction operations, ensuring they conform to contract requirements and safety, health, environment and quality (SHEQ) standards, and assist with the production of programmes, progress reports, resource and cost plans. You will contribute to financial forecasting, site measurement, material reconciliations and cost control.
Key Skills and Qualifications
* HNC/Degree (Construction/Civil Engineering related) or equivalent.
* Demonstrated knowledge and practical application of site engineering activities combined with construction supervision skills.
* Experience working on Earthworks and Drainage.
* Full driving licence and access to own vehicle.
* Valid CSCS card (Black, Gold, White, White/Yellow, Red Experienced or Red Provisional for at least 6 months).
* SMSTS certificate.
