We are seeking a reliable and dedicated multi-drop Delivery and collection Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. As a Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations.
Responsibilities
* Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
* Load and unload goods, performing heavy lifting as required.
* Deliver packages to designated locations in a timely manner while maintaining the integrity of the items.
* Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including signatures and any discrepancies.
* Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and reliability.
* Assist in warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and organisation of goods.
Skills
* Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
* Strong ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks.
* Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
* Proficient in driving vans or similar vehicles; experience with commercial driving is advantageous.
* Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics processes is beneficial.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism.
