Overview
Join to apply for the Clinical Audit Nurse role at King\'s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. This full-time, permanent position is well-suited for an experienced critical care nurse who is enthusiastic, innovative, and dynamic. The role offers an opportunity to contribute to quality improvement through evidence-based insights and meticulous data management. The successful candidate will manage critical care datasets and develop reports within the clinical information system, support delivery of care, audit, and research, and stay current with the Clinical Information System. Excellent computer skills are essential as a significant portion involves managing and reporting electronic patient data.
Responsibilities
* Collect and validate high-quality data for the Critical Care Minimum Dataset (CCMDS), Intensive Care National Audit and Research Centre – Case Mix Programme (ICNARC-CMP), Cardiogenic Shock Module, and Infection in Critical Care Quality Improvement Programme (ICCQIP) data; generate reports; present findings to nursing and medical staff.
* Facilitate clinical software optimisation and enhance reporting capabilities of the clinical system.
* Ensure that the ICNARC Dataset and Critical Care Minimum Data Set are ready for the monthly/quarterly extract and submission.
* Ensure that the ICCQIP data is ready for sign-off before the end of each quarter.
* Ensure patients that fit the Cardiogenic Shock Module inclusion criteria are promptly reported to ICNARC.
* Be responsible for data entry, data quality validation and ensuring clinical software system data is consistent.
* Work on optimising the clinical software to improve its overall system performance and user satisfaction.
* Collaborate with third parties to resolve database performance issues, ensuring data quality and integrity.
Requirements
* Experience in collecting and reporting critical care data; strong data management and IT skills with the ability to work with clinical information systems.
* Proactive, motivated, flexible, and able to prioritise and meet deadlines in a demanding environment.
