Our clients are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial transactions and ensure accurate and up-to-date financial records. The ideal candidate is highly organized, reliable, and skilled in accounting software and spreadsheets. This role plays a key part in the financial success, maintaining accurate ledgers and assisting with financial reporting. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities: • Record and categorise all day-to-day financial transactions (income, expenses, bank deposits, etc.) • Reconcile bank accounts, credit card and petty cash on a regular basis • Maintain purchase and sales ledgers, process invoices, and manage supplier payments. • Prepare VAT returns in line with Making Tax Digital (MTD) requirements • Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual management reports • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards • Prepare documentation for accounts and tax filings • Support payroll processing and post payroll journals if required • Maintain organized financial records and filing systems (digital and/or physical) ________________________________________ Qualifications: • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar financial role • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, TaxCalc) • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles ...
