A rare and not-to-miss opportunity has become available for an experienced and professional Vehicle Parts Manager for our client's franchise-approved car dealership located in the Wiltshire region.
Reporting to the senior management team, as the Parts Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
5. To monitor all overheads and stock values to ensure that the budget is managed and controlled.
6. To ensure the sale of all necessary items to support customer requirements.
7. Review parts sales daily to monitor departmental performance and ensure planned gross profit is achieved, taking corrective action as appropriate.
8. Control all parts purchases to ensure that maximum buying efficiency is achieved and is in line with company policy and franchise agreements.
9. Control levels of parts stock, providing availability of parts to meet customer expectations, whilst maintaining parts obsolescence at minimum levels.
10. Agree and establish clear individual targets for departmental team members to ensure everyone is clear about their responsibilities and development opportunities
To be eligible, you will need to hold strong recent automotive parts experience at a supervisory/management level, where you'll have experience managing a small team, stock control, and supplier relationships. You will ideally have experience within a franchise-approved automotive dealership, but our client is willing to consider candidates from a motor factor background. You will also need to be IT literate, given that you will work daily with a dealer management and electronic parts catalogue system, hold a UK driving license with minimal points, and have strong customer service/sales skills with a friendly and charismatic manner. You will be able to handle a fast-paced work environment and be able to lead a team from the front.
