Overview
Highly Specialist Team Band 7 Physiotherapist in the Musculoskeletal (MSK) service in Swansea Bay UHB. The role involves assessing and managing patients in core physiotherapy and in Hand Therapy Clinics. The post holder supports delivery of core MSK services with a special interest in Hand Therapy, liaises with the MSK Clinical Team Leads and the wider Hand Therapy MDTs in Orthopaedics and Plastic Surgery, and monitors staff development, training, mentorship and student provision.
Main duties of the job
Requires extensive knowledge and experience in the MSK environment. Must have highly developed clinical reasoning skills to implement an effective patient‑centred approach to care, strong insight into evidence‑based practice, and the ability to develop MSK pathways. Must be able to lead and manage a team delivering high‑quality service, complete audits and service improvement projects, and work confidently with other health care professionals and stakeholder groups such as GP's, secondary/tertiary care consultants.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable. English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Qualifications
* Degree in Physiotherapy (or other relevant qualification)
* Professional Registration with HCPC
* Evidence of post‑graduate masters‑level education or equivalent clinical experience
Knowledge & Experience
* Substantial experience working as part of a multi‑disciplinary team
* Supervision experience of students, physiotherapy assistants and junior staff
* Experience in leadership and management
* Ability to speak Welsh
Service Development
* Involvement in audit, research and understanding quality issues
Skills
* Ability to organise, prioritise and delegate
* Understanding of clinical governance and its implications for the service, including experience of quality issues and audit
Disclosure and Barring Service Check

Salary
£50,129 to £57,365 per annum, pro rata.
