Brand new Ward Opening – CAMHS Disordered Eating Unit
RMN or RNLD – Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal - £34,900 to £37,227 + £5000 Welcome Bonus
Cheadle Royal Hospital operates a comprehensive inpatient mental health service for young people aged between 13 and 18 years, comprising of open acute and psychiatric intensive care services. The Young People’s Service is made up of three wards; Meadows, Orchard and Woodlands who work to treat a variety of mental health conditions in lineFree with personalised care plans to aid recovery.
Cheadle Royal are developing a new service which meets the needs of often complex Young People with disordered eating, who are struggling to access services when they need them most. Our team is well versed in meeting complex needs, and we are rolling out a programme of intensive training to equip the team to meet the specific challenges afforded by Disordered Eating before we reopen our doors. We would warmly welcome applications from Clinicians who wish to help shape and refine this much needed service and bring with them the passion and the proven skills to make a real difference.
Responsibilities of the role:
1. Deliver prescribed care to a defined group of patients that reflect their individual needs
2. Assess, plan and deliver, with the patient and their carer/family, nursing care which takes account of patient choice and wishes and acting as the patients named nurse. This includes the evaluation and review of these plans, with the patient/Service User, on a frequent basis, that is reflective of their needs
3. Accurately communicate with, observe and engage with Service Users in order to assess need and evaluate progress.
4. Understand and participate in relevant quality improvement processes and clinical governance
5. Provide accurate information about care in an accessible format to residents/service Users and their families
6. Act as the Nurse in charge of the Ward ensuring as far as reasonable a practicable a safe environment.
7. Complete notes and incident reports
8. Escalate concerns appropriately regarding resident/service user well-being, incidents or staffing concerns in a timely manner
9. Support new/junior/agency staff as required supporting colleagues to complete induction, and deliver person centred care to the standards required
Knowledge and skills required:
10. Qualified Registered Nurse with active NMC Registration.
11. Knowledge of NMC standards guidelines, requests and professional practices.
12. Demonstrates a positive attitude and commitment to change, improvement and quality.
13. Ability to develop and use flexible and innovative approaches to practise.
14. Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills, IT literate

We offer pay enhancements at Cheadle Royal, for working weekends, bank holidays and unsociable hours.
Monday to Friday 22:00PM – 6:30AM 20% of hourly rate
Saturday All Day 20% of hourly rate
Sunday All Day 50% hourly rate
Bank holidays All Day 50% hourly rate
