Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Brookthorpe Hall School, Gloucester, GL4 0UN
Salary: £22,300.00 per annum (not pro rata)
Hours: 40 hours per week | Monday to Friday | 8.30am - 4.30pm
Contract: Permanent, Term Time only
Part-time: Considered for the right applicant
4-Day Working Week (4DWW) trial, where you can work one day less each week (or equivalent hours) while receiving full-time pay, may be available depending on staffing and probationary conditions.
This is a Teaching Assistant role with SEMH/ASC experience, focusing on supporting pupils with complex learning needs.
About The Role
We are looking to appoint a dynamic, passionate, and committed Teaching Assistant to join our educational team and help deliver an outstanding curriculum, motivate pupils, and achieve positive outcomes for our young people. The successful candidate will have experience working with young people with a range of complex learning needs and be able to demonstrate a working understanding of how these needs impact learning and behaviour. You will largely be working with pupils on a 1:1 basis to support their transition into school and their academic and personal progress.

Qualifications Required
* Level 2 English and Maths (GCSE or equivalent) – essential
* Ability to drive school vehicles – desirable

Brookthorpe Hall School is a new independent specialist day school for boys and girls aged 7 to 16, catering for pupils with SEMH/ASD/Complex trauma. Our dedicated team will work together to ensure successful outcomes for pupils who often arrive at the school with a troubled view of education and life.
