Qualifications and Experience
* SME-level experience working within a Microsoft Azure cloud environment.
* Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ‑500) or demonstrable equivalent security engineering experience with a commitment to achieve this certification.
* Strong, hands‑on proficiency in Bicep for provisioning and managing Azure resources – IaC must be the default approach.
* Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions, ensuring automated, repeatable infrastructure deployment.
* Scripting proficiency with PowerShell and Azure CLI used regularly for automation and operational tasks.
* Proficiency in Azure Integration Services – Logic Apps, Service Bus, Event Grid, and API Management for integration design and implementation.
* Solid experience with SOAP and REST APIs, including design, development, and secure management.
* Experience with GitHub version control, including branching strategies and code‑review practices.
* Experience designing virtualised infrastructure environments including compute, virtualisation, storage, and security.
* Experience with security vulnerability management and remediation.
Responsibilities
Support external consultancy teams by defining technical requirements with clients.
Act as a technical escalation point for internal service desks on existing Azure Cloud support.
