We are pleased to offer an opportunity for a Gynaecology Matron within Women’s Health, a pivotal role in our nursing structure.
As a senior nurse with strong clinical leadership skills, you will support delivery of safe, compassionate care to women using our gynaecology outpatient and ambulatory services.
Responsibilities
* Support delivery of professional, dependable, safe, and compassionate care to women within the gynaecology outpatient and ambulatory services.
* Work closely with the Clinical Lead for Gynaecology and the Senior Operational Manager for Obstetrics and Gynaecology to set the direction of our service.
* Collaborate with Lead Nurses for Hysteroscopy and Colposcopy and directly manage Clinic Managers and Specialist Nurses.
* Provide assurances to the Associate Chief Nurse on quality aspects of care, manage risks, workforce, infection prevention control, and operate the service with a focus on safety and quality.
* Lead quality improvement projects, maintain staff morale, develop future leaders, respond to Care Quality Commission recommendations, and progress national and local guidance.
* Serve as a visible role model, influencing best practice from the clinical base and supporting colleagues through mentorship, appraisal and support of professional practice.
Qualifications
* Post‑registration experience for the role (clinical level).
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work flexibly within a busy team.
* Experience in clinical leadership and management within a gynaecology or related setting.
