Contract: Part Time- 10 Hours per week, As a Cleaner you will be responsible for helping to provide and maintain a safe, clean, positive environment for our students who learn and live at Brook View School. You will be working as part of a team to ensure that the offices and classroom areas are all cleaned to a high standard following the health and safety policies and requirements.
Responsibilities
* Work as part of a team to ensure offices and classroom areas are cleaned to a high standard, following health and safety policies and requirements.
* Be able to work independently with a positive and proactive approach to obtaining high standards of cleanliness.
* Use domestic and professional cleaning equipment (e.g., powered floor polisher, vacuum cleaners).
* Strip and make beds; cleaning of rooms as needed; toilets, showers, stairways, lobbies, windows, paintwork, corridors, outside steps.
* Remove all litter and waste to outside waste areas.
Qualifications
* No specific experience required for this role; some knowledge of COSHH, health and safety in the workplace and/or previous cleaning experience would be advantageous.
* Self-motivated, flexible and efficient with a can-do attitude; takes pride in their work.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good communication skills.
* Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure.
