Reporting to the Head of Video and Project Manager, Deputy Head of Video will have experience with video systems in a theatre or similar live production and is looking to gain more show based practical experience. You will operate and maintain the media server systems along with all other Video systems equipment, including LED Processors, Tiles and Projectors to ensure each concert is as performed as intended.
The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in video systems and is looking to gain more show based practical experience. They will be a strong communicator with the ability to work well under pressure and both alone and within a wider team for consistent and high-quality outcomes. This is an ideal role for someone with a basic understanding who wants to develop their skills and pursue a career in video for live events.
Experience with some or all the existing technical disciplines used on the show is important. Onsite training will be supplied where knowledge of technology is missing, and remote support is also available.

Main Responsibilities:
1. Maintain the System Design
2. Assist with scheduling maintenance and replacement of the equipment
3. Report breakages and liaise with Solotech Project Managers over running repairs
4. Learn from and teach the other member of the Solotech team so that general knowledge of the entire show is shared and supported
5. Assist the wider video team to troubleshoot video content issues
6. Manage other associated control equipment
7. Run the show throughout the week
8. Undertake regular proactive maintenance
9. Proactively keep on top of spare stock level for repair works on site
10. Any additional tasks associated with the job role
11. Work jointly with all internal departments to ensure a high level of customer service
12. Support other internal departments when necessary
13. Any other reasonable ad-hoc requests by management

Level of education:
40. Industry accepted qualifications
41. Educated to degree level (or equivalent) or proven work experience
Work experience:
42. A minimum of 2 years proven industry work experience within live events or Theatre sector, with knowledge of key controls and disciplines used within the show.
Other requirements

44. Ability to travel throughout the UK including overnight stays from time to time
