Job Description

The Modern Apprentices will join the Council's Maintenance and Repairs team, responsible for carrying out over 60,000 repairs, alterations, capital investment improvements, and safety checks to Tenant & Owner Occupied properties managed by West Dunbartonshire Council each year, among other projects.
The Maintenance and Repairs team has three depots: one at Cochno Street, Clydebank, and two at Overburn Avenue & Elm Road, Dumbarton, covering the Alexandria and Dumbarton areas. We are looking to recruit two Modern Apprentice Plumbers, one based at the Cochno Street depot in Clydebank and the other at the Overburn Avenue depot in Dumbarton.
We welcome applications from individuals aged 16-24 years (or up to age 29 if disabled or care experienced), who are residents within West Dunbartonshire, with a minimum of three National 4s, including English, Maths, or a science or technical practical subject.
