The Friary Surgery is a semi-rural dispensing practice based in the beautiful North Yorkshire Dales town of Richmond, approximately an hours drive from Newcastle, Leeds and York.
Due to retirement, we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our close-knit and well established team as Partner.
We are a small supportive team that work well together.
We are one of seven practices within the North Yorkshire PCN, offering wider services to our patients including Pharmacists and Social Prescribers. This team continues to grow.
We encourage personal development of special interests outside of primary care.
Start date: July/August exact date negotiable for the right candidate.

Main duties of the job
The post-holder will make him/her-self available to undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork, reports and correspondence in a timely fashion. Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation. Assessing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems. Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness. In consultation with patients and in line with current Practice disease management protocols, developing care plans for health. Referring to other care providers as appropriate. Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards. Collecting data for audit purposes and complying with QOF requirements. Delivering enhanced services. Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions. In general, the post-holder will be expected to undertake all the normal duties and responsibilities of a GP Partner.
