About The Role
Reporting to the Head of Technical, the job holder will support all members of the Technical Team by administrating documentation to ensure all stages of manufacture from development, customer acceptance through to full production are controlled within the QMS and comply with company and customer policies, codes of practice, legislation, and work instructions.
Through the continual management, development, and auditing of the Quality Management System, ensure that the appropriate process control systems and procedures exist to deliver consistent and effective control of all products and documentation.
To help deliver a Continuous Quality & Food Safety Improvement program.
Responsibilities & Requirements
* Manage and monitor site Document Control and complete technical administration tasks for the Technical and wider operations team.
* Review the QMS regularly and update accordingly.
* Manage and monitor supplier approval documentation, including SAQs, audit status, and supplier performance, including rating and closing out all issues in a timely manner.
* Ensure all customer specifications and databases are up to date and completed as required.
* Assist with customer audits and use available resources to obtain any requested information (including traceability). Ensure audits are professionally organized and under control.
* Understand HACCP and actively participate in ensuring the site's HACCP program is run effectively.
* Attend HACCP training and meetings as required.
* Assist in the control and implementation of all HACCP procedures and training. Review when necessary.
* Investigate, identify, and advise on prevention of consumer/customer complaints.
* Organize and participate in complaints meetings, including trending all customer complaints and communicating findings to the management team weekly.
* Ensure all NPD, trials, launches, BOMs, and recipe modifications are initiated and delivered on time.
* Responsible for sage ordering of consumables.
* Manage all supplier and finished product specifications, SAQs, and relevant documents.
* Possess IT & PC knowledge – able to use widespread functions within relevant software.
* Follow and promote good H&S practices at all times.
* Work within the department's budgetary controls.
* Update recipes and BOMs promptly to reflect correct information.
* Prioritize and manage workload to ensure timely delivery of all tasks.
Requirements:
* Root Cause Analysis Training.
* Good knowledge of Microsoft applications.
* Previous experience in the food industry is advantageous.
