Job Title: Quantity Surveyor Location: Exeter Salary: £36,600 - £59,600 Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (40 hours per week), with occasional travel across the Southwest Glanville Environmental, part of the Adler & Allan Group, is a leading drainage and civil engineering contractor serving the South West since 1983. We’re looking for a driven and detail-focused Quantity Surveyor to join our expanding commercial team. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your surveying career within a growing, reputable, civil engineering and drainage business that has served the Southwest for over three decades. You’ll play a key role in managing a fast-paced, responsive maintenance contract covering a wide geographic area, supporting projects from start to final account and working closely with both subcontractors and internal operations teams. Key Responsibilities Manage subcontract orders, payments, variations, and final accounts Produce monthly CVRs and cost reports for project tracking and profitability Prepare and submit monthly applications and invoices to clients Provide financial support and forecasting input to operational project teams Monitor budgets and assist with cost control across multiple sites Work closely with delivery teams to ensure commercial performance is optimised What You’ll Need 3–5 years' experience in a commercial or construction environment (or a relevant degree) Strong organisational and communication skills A proactive, analytical approach to managing financial information Full UK driving licence and the ability to travel to sites when needed Team-focused mindset with the ability to work independently Desirable Experience Previous experience in civil engineering, utilities or drainage Familiarity with NEC contracts and responsive maintenance frameworks Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and commercial reporting systems Why Join Glanville Environmental?
