As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector Reference Data team, you will be instrumental in an agile setting, utilizing your expertise to design and develop cutting-edge technology products that emphasize security, stability, and scalability. Your role involves implementing vital technology solutions across various technical domains to effectively propel the firm's business objectives forward.
Job responsibilities
1. Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
2. Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
3. Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
4. Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems
5. Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
6. Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
7. Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
8. Formal training or certification on Python concepts and expanding applied experience
9. Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
10. Cloud implementation experience with AWS including:AWS Data Services: Glue ETL (or) EMR, S3, Glue Catalog, Athena, Lambda + Step Functions + Event Bridge, ECSData De/Serialization: Parquet and JSON formatAWS Data Security: Good Understanding of security concepts such as: IAM, Service roles, Encryption, KMS, Secrets Manager
11. Practical exposure with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions such as Terraform and CloudFormation
12. Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
13. Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
14. Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
