We are looking for an experienced and passionate Head Chef/Senior Sous Chef to lead the kitchen at our picturesque country pub in Foolow. This is a great opportunity for a talented chef who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality food in a country pub setting. The Bulls Head at Foolow has become a hugely popular venue and has risen from strength to strength.
An ideal candidate would be a chef that wants to stretch their culinary muscles and put their own mark on the business whilst maintaining the excellent offering already in place.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and deliver seasonal menus using fresh, high-quality ingredients.
* Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency.
* Manage kitchen operations, rotas, and stock control.
* Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations.
* Control food costs, minimise waste, and work within budget.
* Collaborate with management to drive standards and profitability.
About You
* Proven experience as a Head Chef or strong Sous Chef ready to step up.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Passion for fresh food and menu development.
* Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
* Level 3 Food Safety (preferred but not essential)
* Calm under pressure with a positive, professional attitude.
