Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a specialist provision in North West Leicestershire to appoint a dedicated and adaptable SEMH Teacher.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator who is confident delivering core subjects (English, Maths and Science) while supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
The Role:
* Deliver engaging and accessible lessons across core subjects
* Adapt teaching to meet a range of learning needs and abilities
* Support students with behavioural, emotional and mental health challenges
* Build positive, consistent relationships that support student progress
* Work collaboratively with support staff to create a structured and nurturing learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification (essential)
* Experience teaching in an SEN, SEMH or alternative provision setting (or strong mainstream experience with behaviour needs)
* Confidence teaching across multiple core subjects
* Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills
* A calm, resilient and empathetic approach
* A genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable learners
Desirable:
* Team Teach training (or similar behaviour management training)
